Weekend Box Office: Nov 1-Nov 3

#1 Ender’s Game from Lionsgate opened at #1 with a gross of $27 million in 3,407 theaters.  Budget was $110 million.

#2 Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa from Paramount fell from #1 to #2 with a gross of $20 million (-37.6%) in 3,345 theaters (+9).  Total gross to date is $61.6 million.  Budget was $15 million.

#3 Last Vegas from CBS Films opened at #3 with a gross of $16.3 million in 3,065 theaters.  Budget was $28 million.

#4 Free Birds from Relativity opened at #4 with a gross of $15.8 million in 3,736 theaters.  Budget was $55 million.

#5 Gravity from Warner Bros. fell from #2 to #5 with a gross of $12.8 million (-36.3%) in 3,024 theaters (-683).  Total gross to date is $218.9 million.  Budget was $100 million.

#6 Captain Phillips from Sony/Columbia fell from #3 to #6 with a gross of $8.4 million (-27.8%) in 3,021 theaters (-122).  Total gross to date is $82.5 million.  Budget was $55 million.

#7 12 Years a Slave from Fox Searchlight rose from #8 to #7 with a gross of $4.8 million (+124.5%) in 410 theaters (+287).  Total gross to date is $9 million.  Budget was unknown.

#8 Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 from Sony/Columbia fell from #5 to #8 with a gross of $4.2 million (-33.9%) in 2,430 theaters (-681).  Total gross to date is $106.1 million.  Budget was $78 million.

#9 The Counselor from Fox fell from #4 to #9 with a gross of $3.4 million (-56.9%) in 3,044 theaters.  Total gross to date is $13.8 million.  Budget was $25 million.

#10 Carrie from Sony/Screen Gems fell from #6 to #10 with a gross of $3.2 million (-45.5%) in 2,252 theaters (-905).  Total gross to date is $31.8 million.  Budget was $30 million.

#11 Escape Plan from Lionsgate/Summit fell from #7 to #11 with a gross of $2.3 million (-50.2%) in 1,966 theaters (-917).  Total gross to date is $21.6 million.  Budget was unknown.

#12 Enough Said from Fox Searchlight fell from #9 to #12 with a gross of $1.1 million (-31.6%) in 662 theaters (-173).  Total gross to date is $14.8 million.  Budget was unknown.

The combined gross of the top 12 movies this weekend was $119.3  million.
