Listening to this now, and I’ve always thought that the ending was a fantasy… it almost has to be…
Listening to Adam, I get the urge to want to put eye-clamps on him a la Malcolm McDowell in A Clockwork Orange (well, he probably hasn’t seen that either, and would likely hate it anyway) and make him watch a David Lynch movie, just to hear the verbal convulsions…
Ahem… Taxi Driver is up there with the greatest movies ever made…
And I tend to think GoodFellas is also a good mix of story and character…
