allright, after spending all this time waiting for the results, not getting them, and then getting this lukewarm BSBO, and on top of that I’m still smarting from last weeks results. Ouch.
Anyway, here are my picks for the weekend of October 7 – 9, 2011:
1. Real Steel
2. Ides Of March
3. Dolphin Tale
4. Moneyball
5. Courageous
Sausagefest!!!!! Wooooooooo!!!!!
ah here we go again….
1) Real Steel– really the only pick for #1 this week. I so wanted to list it as “Rock E’m Sock E’m.”
2) Ides of March– in October? Whatever, George Clooney (hell, Ryan Gosling) ought to be good for an over-$10 mil opening
3) Dolphin Tale– still (!) has the most theaters (barely), and last week shifted the kid flick slot from the lion to the dolphin
4) Moneyball– the kind of movie people keep seeing (or finally seeing) for weeks, so a slower drop off.
5) 50/50- the #5 slot is a total toss up, so I’m picking the one I’d most like to see. Also, see reasoning from #4.
Last week hurt. It hurt bad. Luckily this week looks better in that the top 4 are fairly obvious. Just got to pick up that fifth to try and build my average back up.
1) Real Steel – Robot boxing. That’s good enough for at least one week. The guys will all go see this
2) Ides of March – The gals will all go see this for Clooney
3) Dolphin Tale – The kids will go see this one, but most of them probably already have.
4) Moneyball –
5) The Lion King 3d – a movie that was only supposed to be out for 2 weeks is now going into it’s fourth…
Would much rather see Ghostbusters on the list, since it’s suppose to be showing in October, but I can only find one or two showings anywhere near me…
1.Real Steel
2.the ides of march
3.dolphin tale
4.moneyball
5. lion king

1. Real Steel

3. Ides Of March
4. Moneyball

Sorry, Father Beast, but I was seriously wrecked–still am, really–and Andrew was suffering from familial interference. I’m sure we’ll be back to form next week.
After listening to this episode, I must applaud the intestinal fortitude of the hosts. You guys sound like you’re frickin’ dying, yet you still call in to get your picks in.
That’s dedication, especially after a bloodbath like last weekend. On the up-side, Menolly & I should be totally cool, we’ve had worse. Last weekend was a light touch with the lash. Those low scores only sting for a bit, then you get to claw your way back up.
