Back Seat Box Office #55 Results and Voice Mail

I’ve been making Friday predictions for a while now, but I’m going to be traveling this week so back to my poorly informed wednesday preditions:

1) The Thing – not sure about this one. Technically it’s not a remake but a ‘prequel’ but it sure feels like one. Certainly has had plenty of airings of the trailer so fans of the old movie will probably check it out.
2) Real Steel – All the guys will still want to see boxing robots this week.
3) Footloose – not sure about this remake either. I know next to nothing about it other then i’ve heard it has lots more cursing then the original and we all know that lots of cursing means ‘quality’ right?
4) Ides of March – Clooney who?
5) Dolphin Tale – still up there for the family audience

I’m leaving The Big Year off my list as a ‘safety bet’ it could do good enough to make the top 5, but given that I haven’t heard much advertising and there doesn’t seem to be advance reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, I’m thinking it’s a safer bet to not pick it.
