Well, that went better than I thought it would, but not good enough to get me in front of Andrew & Jonathan.

Let’s look at next week:

1) Chronicle – As much as I hate these ‘found footage’ -style films, which is what this looks like, the premise is interesting. Trying to bounce off of the mediocrity of Alphas and the Misfits on TV, and Push & Jumper on the big screen, Chronicle might go somewhere.

2) The Grey – Because while I’m not interested, Liam Neeson is a bad-ass.

3) Underworld: Awakening – Kate Beckinsale with guns in black lycra and leather. Hells yeah!

4) The Woman in Black – Because no one can handle a Victorian ghost story like Harry Potter. I hate saying that, because I honestly think Daniel Radcliffe has some decent acting chops, but I bet you’d be hard pressed to find 3 people out of 10 on the street that know is real name.

5) One for the money – Kind of a guess here, but there isn’t anything competing for its audience.

Menolly’s picks for the weekend of February 3 – 5, 2012:
1. The Woman In Black
2. Big Miracle
3. The Grey
4. Chronicle
5. Underworld: Awakening
