1) Think Like a Man – Hadn’t heard of this movie till this week and after looking at the trailer, this is definitely male Kryptonite. I expect a lot of them to be dragged in unwillingly by wives/girlfriends/significant others.
2) The Lucky One – This could be number one but I’m thinking it’s not going to quite make it.
3) Hunger Games – http://youtu.be/AxsjRmN9syc
4) The Three Stooges
5) Cabin In The Woods – Saw this and loved it. Thinking of going again. I’d love for this to be number four but I’m going to have to play it safe….

Wow. Male Kryptonite…I’m going to have to remember that one. I’d have just called it a clam-bake.

It does seem to be that sort of weekend…The Lucky One and Think Like a Man. On the
other hand, next weekend, we get The Raven and then The Avengers…

I almost ditto’d Andrew AGAIN… but at the last minute I changed my mind about two of my picks. Soooo –

1. The Lucky One
2. Think Like a man
3. Hunger Games
4. Cabin in the Woods
5. Three Stooges

Once again, I’m ending up saying “ditto’ to Scott. Who is once again posted on the results show thread, so:
1) Think Like a Man- it has that Tyler Perry which makes me pick it for #1 despite the lower number of screens. But really, it’s b/c I can’t stand the thought of a ZEffron tearjerker being the movie that finally drops Hunger Games off of #1 (and recall I WAS ok with the 3 Stooges doing that…. 🙂
2) The Lucky One- male kryptonite. Ha! I like that…
3) Hunger Games- I remember weeks not too long ago when the ~$10 million this will make would have been a #1 spot.
4) 3 Stooges- I was hoping that Cabin in the Woods would have a longer tail, but it won’t pull ahead of the Stooges yet.
5) Cabin in the Woods- which leaves it here. Thought about Chimpanzee, but like Lockout last week, it calls for a safety pick (and look how well that worked out for avoiding Lockout….)

Monty says ‘ditto’ to me, almost:
1) Think Like a Man
2) The Lucky One
3) Hunger Games
4) 3 Stooges
5) Chimpanzee

aaaand daHobbit goes her own way, again:

1) Chimpanzee
2) Think Like a Man
3) Hunger Games
4) Cabin in the Woods
5) The Lucky Ones

Going to have to put this here. Knowing my luck, this week’s post will appear while I’m creating this comment or immediately after. Hope everything is alright.

Picks for April 27-29th:
1) Five-Year Engagement – this seems to be the movie to beat this weekend
2) Think Like a Man –
3) Pirates! Band of Misfits – From the guys who brought you Chicken Run. There seems to be a big fluctuation in predictions for this one. I think coming in third is a pretty safe bet.
4) The Lucky One
5) The Hunger Games

Number five was a hard choice for me. I almost went with The Raven, but it has the lowest theater count of all the new movies this weekend and I’m not sure that it has enough interest to overcome that with all the other movies contending for attention this week. Similar for Safe.

By the way, where is there info on how to join the chat room for the recordings. I know there must be some, but I haven’t been able to find it. The only thing I found is upcoming times for recordings of the main podcast, but no info on how to join.

My picks for the weekend of April 27 – 29, 2012:
1. 5 Year Engagement
2. Think Like A Man
3. Pirates
4. Safe
5. Raven

My board for Apr 27- Apr 29:

1. Five Year Engagement
2. Think Like A Man
3. Pirates
4. Lucky One
5. The Raven

F U to whoever caved to the pressure and took the Leper scene out because of complaints from the National Society for the Advancement of Lepers (ok, totally made up but still).

BTW, lepers are very disarming.

Okay, I peeked and I’m dittoing Jonathan (my first for him), which is also a secondary ditto to Jeff.

1. Five Year Engagement
2. Think Like A Man
3. Pirates
4. The Lucky One
5. The Raven

While trying to decide if this is a good week to take a bye…
@ CougRon- the link to the BSBO show isn’t always send, but a “Yo” code will go out around the time its starts, via Twitter. At least, that’s how I find it!

Ok, lets do this;
1) Think Like a Man- I can;t see this dropping below $17 or $18 million.
2) 5 Year Reunion- and I can’t see this breaking $20 million, especially since I’d never heard of it before last week.
3) Pirates; Bands of Misfits- kids’ movie, lots of theaters, and Arthur Christmas did well enough, if I recall.
4) Lucky One- falls to here, around $10. Sure, why not?
5) Safe- Statham being Statham, so a pick over The Raven (which I can’t pick w/o knowing what Andrew (vs. Relativity) picked!) and Hunger Games (shedding theaters finally.)

Menolly’s picks for the weekend of April 27 – 29, 2012:
1. The Raven
2. Safe
3. Think Like A Man
4. Hunger Games
5. Pirates! Band Of Misfits

Mrs. Beast’s picks for the weekend of April 27 – 29, 2012:
1. 5 Year Engagement
2. The Raven
3. Pirates! Band Of Misfits
4. Think Like A Man
5. Safe

I know it’s late, but our internet has been down for several hours…
