Mrs. Beast’s picks for the weekend of June 29 – July 1, 2012:
1. Brave
2. Madagascar 3
3. Madea’s Witness Protection
4. Magic Mike
5. People Like Us

My picks for the weekend of June 29

1) Brave – Nothing to stop it for weeks yet.

2) Madea’s Witless Protection – The only protection from this film is not to see it, I feel dumber just watching the trailer…

3) Ted – I’d put this higher, but I’ve never seen any trailers on TV for it, only in theaters.

4) Magic Mike – Why, God, why? If you were a just and loving God, you’d never let crap like this get made. What is this, Showgirls/Striptease for women?

5) Abe Lincoln: Presidential Bad-Ass – “If you could fight any historical figure, who would you fight? Lincoln. Big guy, big reach. Skinny guys fight ’til they’re burger. ” Seriously though, I have no idea if this movie is any good, but it looks like fun.

Menolly’s picks for the weekend of June 29 – July 1, 2012:
1. Brave
2. People Like Us
3. Madagascar
4. Abe Lincoln
5. Ted

But seriously, We’re all screwed this weekend by something.

1) Brave. – Bravo
2) Magic Mike – uhm. I’m reluctant to put this here, but a lot of people I trust seem to think this movie will do good and I’m not sure too many people will want to see…
3) Ted – ugh. an ‘R’ comedy about… a teddy bear. Yeah, no.
4) Medea – This may beat out ted in my opinion, but, medea movies haven’t been doing quite as good recently…
5) Madagascar 3

Crowded week and some tough calls to make.

1) Brave – seems like a no brainer

2) Magic Mike – I struggled with this one. Ted is in more theaters and is trading higher on HSX. However, I think this is going to be a destination film for women this weekend.

3) Ted

4) Tyler Perry Medea’s Witness Protection – Not going to do great but it should make more then $10 million. Plus, it has Eugene Levy!

5) Madagascar 3 – This is a toss up with Honest Abe, I flipped a coin.

Gah! I’ve been switching my picks around and I’m still not entirely sure if I’m happy with what I ended up with, but here it is:

1. Brave
2. Ted
3. Magic Mike
4. Madea’s Witness Protection
5. Madagascar 3

I’m on the fence about People Like Us, but I don’t think it’ll make it in the top 5.
