I’m trying really hard not to forget to do this.

1. Taken 2 – Liam Neeson `nuff said
2. Sinister – horror movie before halloween. going to take a chance here
3. Argo – they’ve certainly advertised it enough…
4. Hotel Transylvania –
5. Here Comes The Boom – didn’t even hear about this movie until this week. I expect most people haven’t.

CougRon- I hear you, I remembered last week about 3pm on Saturday(!) I looked hard for someone to ‘ditto’ this week and it’s… Andrew! (Yeah, big surprise, Mr. double 25s couple weeks back.)

1) Taken 2- thought this would be #1 last week, but not by THAT much. It also has a crazy amount of screens, so #1 again.

2) Argo- want to see this, lots of buzz and lots of ads (where they fit around the political ads. Ah, to be in Ohio in election season!) This should have legs too.

3) Hotel Transylvania- didn’t get the legs on this one (not that I ever do on kids animation ‘hits’ with long legs- Rio anyone?) until I saw they were in Happy Meals…

4) Sinister- has lots of buzz, and it’s October, a good time for horror, but that lower screen count puts it neck & neck with the kids movie with the surprising legs… and don’t bet against the kids movie.

5) Here Comes the Boom- a Kevin James movie that I finally thought looked ok, and fair amount of ads- until recently (but I do live in an ad market that is rather skewed right now.) Sadly, I think it’s the lack of buzz that’s hurting this one, despite the higher number of screens (unlike Seven Psychopaths, which looks good and has great buzz, but really low screen count, #12 overall. For it’s first week!)

Menolly’s picks for the weekend of October 12 – 14, 2012:
1. Taken 2
2. Sinister
3. Argo
4. Hotel Transylvania
5. Pitch Perfect

As she spoke it to me just now.
