  1. Great Scott! An episode waiting for me first thing Friday morning?! Christmas came early.

    1) Anchorman 2 – This movie is absolutely going to destroy the box office this weekend…
    2) Hobbit 2 – Desolation of Smaug – it’s a giant fire breathing dragon!
    3) American Hustle – oscar time
    4) Frozen – The kids need to watch something, but it doesn’t look like realistic dinosaurs are going to be enough.
    5) Saving Mr Banks – I’m interested in seeing this one, so it makes my list but most people are going to see it on christmas, not necessarily over the weekend.

  2. ok, so the short version of this is: ditto Art–

    1) The Hobbit 2- while I thought Anchorman 2 could take #1- the media blitz is everywhere- ‘Smaug was about even on Thurs, so I’m picking (my) favorites.

    2) Anchorman 2- the first one was funny. I think. (I don’t recall it much) but some of the promo trailers have made me laugh enough want to see this anyway.

    3) American Hustle- picking favorites again, as i really want to see this. It did really well on what? 6 screens? last week, so I’m thinking it can edge out Disney this week.

    4) Frozen- if this has a % drop similar to last week’s, it could be neck & neck for #3.

    5) Walking With Dinosaurs- mostly b/c a) Dinosaurs. Are. Cool!, b) this has a solid brand for good dino-motion, and c) I’m hedging that Mr. Banks will maybe not do as well as I might hope (I really want to see it too.) Oh, and d) kids movie, ’nuff said.

    Art’s House Pick: Her.
