1. Trouble with the Curve – For no other reason then Amy Adams. Clint Eastwood doesn’t hurt.
2. House at the End of the Street – I didn’t hear about this movie until last week so I don’t see how it could do good, but it has Jennifer Lawrence and I hear she’s popular…
3. End of Watch – I was tempted to choose Dredd for third, but it feels like a lot of people are going to hold the Sylvester Stallone version against this one. Plus, some people are suckers for the whole ‘found footage’ thing
4. Dredd 3d –
5. Nemo – the fish is about to get lost again…
ah heck, was up all day yesterday and slept all night- not normal! (for me, anyway) Just woke up and I have no idea what to pick- I’ve had two indicators pointing in almost opposite directions all week… but there’s no way I’m sitting it out.
I mean, look how that worked out for Andrew.
1) House at the End of the Street- Jennifer Lawrence is the reason it’ll get #1. Oh, and the PG13 helps.

And I’d like to take a moment to recommend Winter’s Bone to all BSBO participants, it’s a fantastic movie and Jennifer Lawrence’s breakout role. Heck, you could even do a BSP on it!
2) End of Watch- if this tanks, I’m blaming Tony, as it was his comments about it on this week’s show that moved it up my list. I didn’t see a thing about it until maybe the last 3-4 days.
3) Trouble with the Curve- looks interesting, but more likely a slow build than a big start (like ‘House at’ which may be just terrible and still get #1 in the tight jumble of this week’s finishes.)
4) Dredd- I dunno, this really should connect, but the theater count is low (and Uriah is right, the marketing pushes the 3D too hard- I think stuff like that’s becoming a drag instead of a plus.)
And I realized- everyone who would see it was likely at Comic-Con (or will wait to see it at home.) But my main reason, I think, is that despite hearing about this for months, solid casting and a good story idea, it just doesn’t feel like Judge Dredd to me.
5) Finding Nemo 3D- yes, the fish has longer legs that the rampaging zombies.
