BSR Episode 001:Big Brother S10 W1

Tony and Julie have been threatening to do this for a while and finally put their voices where there mouths are… um something like that.

We turn our review and analysis skills on Big Brother, CBS’s summer filler for the past nine years (and last spring during the writer’s strike.

Let us know what you think of the show, the format, the topics.

This is an experiment for us. How did we do?

Tony’s right… it’s not important that everyone else likes it, it’s not like you guys can be cancelled, and if you have interest, it will be interesting…

And I avidly watch Survivor, Big Brother, and The Amazing Race. And when they’re on, things like The Mole (which has been terrific this season), The Apprentice (even the celebrity version), and Hell’s Kitchen. And this summer, along with The Mole, I’m currently enjoying I Survived A Japanese Game Show.

I also record Showtime’s Big Brother After Dark sporadically and mostly fast forward through it. I think it’s a great show, except when it gets down to the last 3 or 4 people in the house and then of course it’s just boring as can be. But still it makes a huge difference now as to how I interpret the CBS show- for instance, as cool as I thought Season 6 was, I wonder just how it would’ve been perceived with a Showtime After Dark show…

This season certainly looks interesting, and while I don’t have any clear favorites yet, it’s going to be fun to see how this plays out…

So far, I’m hoping Jessie gets a back door pulled on him…

Take a good look at Keesha, there’s a lot of Daniele Donato there…

It was a good scene with Dan about Steven, it’s just a shame that it was sorta shown out of sequence- that actually happened while Brian was still in the house during one of the Showtime After Dark shows… it’s no real big deal, but I generally would prefer that the CBS shows pick up the Showtime stuff and fit it in properly…

I’ve gotta go along with Brian, and I think the guy to watch in that house is probably Memphis…

Anyway, good first show, at least I’ll be hanging in there with you…

My wife tries to get me to watch BB. blech! Now, I do enjoy some reality shows. Survivor, So You Think You Can Dance, Next Food Network Star I enjoy and I can sit through the Amazing Race. BB just makes me angry.

BBC did a reality show that I LOVED called Last Restaurant Standing. I activley looked forward to each showing. I understand that NBC is about to run its own ver. God I hope they dont screw it up.

Tony, I’ll say it was at least great hearing Julie’s voice in the show again. But, I must confess, BB is not for me.

But, that’s OK. You keep producing the BSR if you enjoy it. I’ll stay subscribed and catch BSP as it comes down the channel.
