yay! picking time (okay I’m a little late)
1) Iron Man 3
2) The Greet Gatsby
3) Tyler Perry’s Peeples
4) Pain and Gain
5) 42
And running even later, here we go; top two fairly obvious, bottom three all in a scrum:
1) Iron man 3- duh. again.
2) Great Gatsby- I want to see what Luhrmann can do with 3D, kinda. I think this could do surprisingly well, but no way it takes even half of what IM3 did last week.
3) Pain & Gain- think this falls by about half and edges out a slower falling 42.
4) 42- fewer screens and just a bit older, so just below Pain & Gain.
5)Croods- maybe I’m mad at over-rating Oblivion from last week, but it had a huge screen count drop and I think it falls out. Croods is a reliable (read: kids movie) safety pick. No Peeples? Yep, don’t trust it: low screen count and Tyler Perry is only “presenting” it, he didn’t write or direct, so I think it’ll bomb (and hard, to not even make the top 5. But like I said, safety pick.)
Monty says, well what he said after I told him he got a 25, again, was “Because I’m a boss. Again.” (I’d just like to point out he has access to the same voodoo, um, I mean info, that I do.)
1) Iron Man
2) Great Gatsby
3) Pain & Gain
4) 42
5) Peeples
